About Me

I am a clinical social worker who is down to earth, interactive and aware of how difficult it is to seek out therapy.  It feels important to assist clients in taking this crucial step by taking insurances and processing the billing so you can focus on what is bringing you into therapy.  Generally I work website 066when others don’t, so that you can easily make your appointments without having to miss work.

Over the past 30 years I have had a wide range of experience, working in some form of social work or psychology.  Since obtaining my Masters in Social Work in 1991, I have worked primarily in clinical settings providing outpatient psychotherapy seeing children, teenagers and adults.  Areas of specialty have been depression, anxiety, bipolar (manic depression), marital, grief and loss.  With an interest in meditation and psychology I integrate mindfulness into the therapy practice.

Training includes two trauma treatments, EMDR and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.  Utilizing the research and understanding of the brain and the nervous system, these modalities support a gentle approach to unwinding trauma.   I began my training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy in 2013 which utilizes mindfulness to help in the treatment of trauma (level 1) and attachment wounding and attachment trauma (level 2).  In working together we can help bring understanding and transformation to your experience.
